Choosing the right ribbon

There are a lot of factors that determine the quality and reliability of the thermal print on labels. We understand what part all of these factors play and will use our technical understanding of your business to ensure you have the best solution. Your thermal transfer printer will specify the type of ribbon suitable, however here is a general guide:

• Resin thermal transfer ribbons are typically used for industrial and chemical applications, where durability under extreme environmental conditions are required.
• Wax Resin thermal transfer ribbons are suitable for general purpose printing, with good scuff, element and chemical resistance.
• Wax thermal transfer ribbons are typically used in short shelf life applications, where there is low abrasion and low chemical exposure.

High-speed packaging ribbons

We supply a full range of packaging ribbons that can be supplied with up to 900 metres on the roll, printed at speeds over 900mm/sec and suitable for multiple different surfaces to ensure you get maximum efficiency out of your packaging line.
