Grape waste wine labels win excellence in sustainability at 2022 Digital Labels and Packaging Awards
We are thrilled to announce our Excellence in Sustainability win at the Digital Labels & Packaging Awards on Friday night!
The award-winning entry was an environmentally sustainable labelling project for Storm King Wine Co, printed by our digital team in Auckland. Storm King chose our uniquely textured Grape Waste material to reflect the winemaking techniques they use to make wines full of texture and flavour.
The uncoated paper contains 15% recycled content via grape waste sourced from wine production to create a natural fleck appearance and is part of our ever growing environmentally sustainable material portfolio.
A suite of embellishments were applied to create the desired look and also enhance the prominent ‘paint brush stroke’ element in the label design.
General Manager Murray Davis praised the team for producing such an outstanding print job. “I would like to congratulate Jason Carroll (Auckland Operations Manager) and his team for the consistently high calibre of work they produce.
I am also proud to have the opportunity to showcase our deep labelling expertise on a global scale. We have established a market-leading sustainability position with our environmental portfolio and are well positioned to tackle any sustainable labelling challenge.”
