Hally Labels signs up to The Packaging Forum and Soft Plastic Recycling Scheme
We’re pleased to announce that Hally Labels is now a signed-up member of The Packaging Forum and a party to their Soft Plastic Recycling Scheme. This is our latest initiative to support our market-leading position in sustainable labels, and advances our strong commitment to environmental sustainability.
The Packaging Forum is a member-based organisation representing the depth and breadth of the New Zealand packaging industry. Their vision is that by 2025, all packaging in New Zealand will be reusable, recyclable or compostable. The Forum advocates for policy that achieves the highest sustainability outcomes, collaborates to advance sustainable packaging research, and invests in onshore solutions and recyclability labelling.
The Soft Plastic Recycling Scheme is one of three voluntary product stewardship schemes represented by The Packaging Forum, all accredited by the Ministry for the Environment. Their goal is to help find end of life solutions for packaging, particularly for recycling soft plastic. Our membership helps the Scheme to fund and promote the Love NZ program which allows consumers to bring their used soft plastics back to store for recycling to reduce landfill.
As part of our membership we’ll be working together with the entire packaging industry to ensure the best commercial and sustainable solutions are found. We’re also keen to work with our customers to ensure the best label materials are matched with soft plastic packaging to maximise recyclability outcomes.
We invite you to contact our team of label experts to learn more about our sustainable labels offer, and how we can help you meet your packaging sustainability goals.
